Jordan Harrison doesn't trust relationships since her long time boyfriend walked away when things didn't happen when he thought they should. Now her windowed mom is engaged to a wealthy architect that she's only known for a few months. So, Jordan heads for Breckenridge Manor to see if she can talk some sense into her mom. That's when she runs into Tanner Breckinridge. The handsome son of the man her mother's going to marry. Tanner is not at all what Jordan expected and his understanding ways help to heal places inside that she never thought would heal. Jordan has wormed her way into Tanner's heart but he doesn't trust his own judgement when it comes to women. When trouble arises, will they be willing to put their hearts on the line for a chance at true love?

I just loved Reluctant Bridesmaid! The characters were very well drawn and full of life! Jordan is such a relateable gal. I really liked that she was full of determination but not in an unreasonable way. Tanner was definitely a swoon worthy hero. Oh my, his sweet and gentle ways won my heart, that's for sure! I liked the fact that he was flawed and willing to admit it. That made him all the more appealing. We're reminded in the story that people can't change hearts but God can, if we allow him to do his work. Although this wasn't a suspense type story, it had a wonderful flow to it that just kept you turning the pages. Don't be a 'reluctant reader'! Get Reluctant Bridesmaid. It's one I highly recommend (or any of Wendy Davy's stories for that matter)!

Reluctant Bridesmaid edition by Wendy Davy Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

first book ive read by this author wont be the last, just love jordan and tanner a well written book that you wont want to put down recommended
Ms. Davy has definitely written a book that held my attention to the last page. She has a tightly woven plot that moves with tension, conflict, and warm moments. Even as the main characters play their parts, and you hope the story will end well, there is a lesser character who can cause turmoil and change the outcome. This is a polished writer who is exciting to read.
Jordan has only one thing on her mind when travelling to attend her mother's wedding...to stop it. She definitely doesn't intend endorsing it, attending it, or falling in love with the handsome stranger who stops to help her when she crashes her car. Especially when the stranger turns out to be Tanner--the son of the man her mother is marrying after the shortest engagement in history.

I read this in two sittings, pausing only to sleep and work. Another classic from Wendy Davy, this story pulls you in and doesn't let you up for air. With twists and turns that keep you guessing right up until the very end, this one is a kindle keeper.
I was provided with an ebook for an honest review. Jordan doesn't think her Mother has known Maxwell long enough to get married and tries to talk her into waiting. Tanner tries to help her come to terms with the idea and realize it is part of her own insecurity. When things go wrong between Jordan and Tanner, he forgets his own advice and his insecurities show up. Good read. You may even need a few tissues before the end.
This is a story of guarded heart and heartbreak. Mistrust and trust again. Jordan had her heart broken when her long time boyfriend walks away after he didn't get what he wanted out of the relationship. She then learned that her Mom was engaged after knowing the man after a few months. She heads home to talk to her Mom and talk some sense into her Mom. While there she meets her Moms fiancé's son, Tanner. Tanner is sweet and he fills some places in Jordan's heart that needed filling but he has places in his heart that need filling of his own. He has distrust of woman, he too have been hurt. When roadblocks pop up will they trust or will they run from each other - will they be willing to put their hearts on the line?
This was a sweet love story about forgiveness and the power of love and healing.

Jordan Harrison had been hurt when her fiance left her when she needed him the most. She had been with him for four years and at the first sign of trouble, he gave her an ultimatum and then left. So, she was very concerned when her mother, who had only known Max for a few months, decided to marry him so quickly. How could she be sure he wouldn't hurt her after knowing him for such a short time. She had to stop her mother from making such a big mistake.

Tanner Breckenridge was Max's very handsome and successful son and when Jordan came barreling into his life, he recognized the fear and concern she had for her mother. Rather than being angry with her, he was understanding and reassuring and she began to see that Max really loved her mother and could make her happy. She also began to see Tanner as a wonderful man who could possibly make her happy. But, would she be able to overcome her fear and let God heal her and help her to see she could be happy again? Would Tanner betray her trust at the first sign of trouble between them? You will just have to read this book to find out.

This story was clean and free of language or sex.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
